Anne Turner

Hello, my name is Anne Turner. I became part of the Mindful Motion community when I attended my first class the second day the studio was open. I enjoyed the class so much I signed up for a three month package the next day. In the following months my life started to change. My body became stronger, my sleep improved and I became less worried and more at peace with the world.

I completed the Mindful Motion 200 hour teacher training in 2011, which truly opened me to the power of yoga. Three months later I became certified, through the CPF, to teach yoga to the cancer community. In the fall of 2012, I attended a week long Yoga as Medicine seminar taught by Dr. Tim McCall at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville in Virginia. Then in 2013, I completed 100 hours of yoga therapy training in Jacksonville.

When not in the yoga studio, I can usually be found out in nature looking at birds. My birding has taken me to nine countries and almost every state in the union. Being in nature and focused on finding birds is like yoga, one must be in the present moment to be successful.

I am honored to share yoga with you in this beautiful and compassionate studio. It is my goal that my students leave class relaxed and renewed. I hope to see you soon.
